Last updated: March 26 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Ourela (“we”, “our” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and services, including holiday rentals. By accessing and using our website, making a reservation or staying in one of our properties, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use our services.

For any questions, please contact us via email at info@ourelacollection.com .

Reservations, Payments and Modifications

Reservations can be made directly through our website. Payments are securely processed through the Stripe platform. We do not store any payment details, and the full booking amount must be paid at the time of booking for it to be confirmed.

We may require a pre-authorisation security deposit on a valid payment card as a condition of your stay. The amount, timing, and release conditions will be communicated during the booking process or before arrival.

After booking and before check-in, guests may be required to sign a separate Rental or Stay Agreement, outlining the specific terms applicable to their stay and the property. Failure to comply with any mandatory formalities prior to arrival, including signing said agreement where applicable, may result in cancellation of the booking or refusal of check-in, subject to applicable cancellation policies.

If a guest wishes to modify their reservation, they must contact us directly. Modifications are only possible if requested within the free cancellation period, up to 14 days before check-in, and are always subject to availability. Any applicable price differences will be adjusted accordingly.

Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to check-in will be entitled to a 95% refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to check-in are non-refundable. The refund will be processed via the same payment method and may take up to 10 business days to be reflected in the guest's account.

Guest Responsibilities and Accommodation Rules

All guests must comply with the house rules to ensure a pleasant and respectful stay for everyone. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the accommodation. Parties, large events, or disruptive behaviour are not allowed. Pets are not allowed. Quiet hours must be observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Check-in and check-out times must be strictly adhered to as indicated in the booking confirmation. Late check-out and early check-in are subject to availability and additional charges, which vary depending on the property and the requested times. Guests must respect their neighbors and maintain a quiet environment. Only registered guests are allowed to stay on the property; visits from third parties are not permitted.

All items belonging to the accommodation must remain on the property. Any damage caused to the accommodation, furniture, or equipment must be reported immediately. The guest will be responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing any damage caused during their stay.

Liability and Insurance

Ourela operates in full compliance with Portuguese legislation applicable to local accommodation and holds valid civil liability insurance, as required by law. All properties are equipped with up-to-date safety devices, including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and first aid kits, which are regularly inspected and maintained.

Guests are responsible for taking appropriate security measures, including locking doors and securing their personal belongings. Ourela is not responsible for lost or stolen items if guests have not followed the recommended security measures. No member of our team will have access to the accommodation without the guest's prior consent, except in emergency situations.

Ourela cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during a guest's stay. We are not responsible for losses, thefts, or damage to personal property. Furthermore, we cannot be held responsible for service interruptions due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions. Guests use the accommodation at their own risk.
